⚑ How Search Intelligence used Google Keyword Planner to land links from The Sun, MSN, and more publications for their Bingo client

The Search Intelligence team used Google Keyword Planner to land massive links for our Bingo client. They got links in The Sun (DR 90), MSN, (DR92), Blackpool Gazette (DR 72), and many other UK news publications.

Here's is how we’ve done it:

  • They made a list of the top ten most Googled bingo-related terms in the UK.
  • They used Google Keyword Planner to extract the monthly search volumes for each of the chosen keywords across 60 different cities in the UK over the past 12 months.
  • Search volumes were normalized per 100,000 residents. Each city's population was taken from the latest available census data.
  • The cities were then ranked based on the normalized search volume. The city with the most searches per 100,000 residents was crowned the most bingo-obsessed city in the UK.

Learn more about the step by step case study here.
