π§ Aleyda's Weekly Search Reality Check
AI Search measurement is becoming real, but donβt blend the signals
Bing is moving ahead with AI reporting in Webmaster Tools, including citation share, grounding query intent and recommendations to improve AI search visibility.
But this doesnβt mean we should reduce AI Search visibility to one blended metric. Sistrix found ChatGPT rotates 74% of its sources week over week and AI Mode 56%, while Seerβs 231K+ response study found that the sources that get you cited are not always the ones that get you recommended.
My recommendation
Track platforms, prompt types, citations, recommendations, readiness and business impact separately. The goal is not another vanity score, but understanding where your brand is being surfaced, trusted and chosen.
