๐ก This week's SEO Tip: How to address SEO recommendations execution challenges
One of the main challenges that SEO specialists face is the lack of execution of SEO recommendations, which can quickly become an issue since we're not paid to spot a site's issues but to achieve SEO goals by solving those that are actually hurting the Website's business objectives.
The first step to address this? Do a radical SEO audit prioritization. You're likely already prioritizing SEO recommendations based on high impact and low effort, however, this is not enough if you still face buy-in, resources, and support issues for SEO execution.
Itโs time for a radical prioritization, with a maximum of 10 high impact, solution driven, action plan.
This means that you will only include in your SEO recommendations what you really want to be executed right now to help you achieve goals, and leave the rest for future iterations of the SEO process -remember that this is an iterative/incremental one-.
By featuring only your top 10 high-impact must-do SEO actions, your recommendations will becomeโจeasier to go through and execute by the relevant stakeholders.

You should also leverage data storytelling to explain, engage and drive action with each of your recommendations, making them solution-driven:
- Explain what happened: What is the SEO issue or opportunity about and why is it so important to address.
- Describe why it happened: The cause of the SEO issue or opportunity.
- Specify how to proceed: Propose a solution for the SEO issue or opportunity.
Additionally, you should feature an executive summary at the start of the SEO recommendations,โจto facilitate decision-makers to go through the SEO actions and understand the scope of work, without having to read the whole document; facilitating their approval.
